Jill has been a “crafter” most of her life focusing initially on counted cross-stitch, needlepoint, sewing, and smocking. Whim So Doodle, in its early days was known as “Whim Sew Doodle” and focused on fabrics and sewing supplies. Jill started paper crafting when she picked up her first rubber stamp and made her first card. Then as time went on, she was introduced to the wonderful world of scrapbooking at a home party and as they say, “that was that.” Combining Jill’s passion for fabric, sewing, rubber stamping, paper crafting, scrapbooking and mixed media art has defined the inventory that Whim So Doodle carries today. She is constantly looking for the “latest” art opportunities and strives to make sure that Whim So Doodle carries the products that our customers need. Jill attends special training opportunities, workshops and classes throughout the industry so that she can thoroughly understand and share the “latest and greatest.” Jill also views Whim So Doodle as a ministry, a place where creativity can be expressed, friendships and fellowship can be developed and opportunities to grow are always present. Capturing and honoring special memories is Jill’s mission for the store. Jill focuses on what is really important; faith, family, friendships and fellowship. Jill and her husband have 5-children; Katy just graduated from law school, Ryan is working on her master’s degree while her husband attends medical school in Georgia, Nick just graduated from college and is starting medical school at THE University of Florida in the fall, Tayler is studying art and is creative beyond her years and Morgan will be attending college in the fall at the University of Georgia on a soccer scholarship.
