A Place for Everything 2.0

This spacious organizer stores and carries tools and supplies, providing visibility and easy access to all.
The bag features handles and an adjustable/detachable carrying strap along with two
removable pocket pages with mesh or vinyl pockets in a variety of styles.
Abundant pockets in a variety of styles are the key to ensuring that there is a place for
everything ... and that everything is in its place!
Finished size:
The case measures about 10"H x 14" W x 51⁄2"D when closed with removable pages
measuring 13"H x 20"W.
Materials needed: (from the back of the pattern)
Supplies Needed for Day of Class:
□ Sewing machine with power cord and foot pedal (manual for any assistance with the
machine)
□ Knee Lifter (optional)
□ Recommended Feet: 1⁄4” foot, zipper foot, edge (topstitch) foot, and walking foot; Teflon
Foot (optional – working with vinyl)
□ Recommended Needles: size#90/14 Microtex needle or size #100/16 Jeans needle
□ Coordinating Thread
□ Rotary Cutter and Personal Cutting Mat
□ Rulers (15 1⁄2” square or larger is very helpful & other sizes)
□ Pins
□ Scissors and Thread snips
□ Wonder clips (small and large)
□ Washout Marking pencils or pens; Frixion Pens; chalk; Air Erase Pen to mark with
□ Stiletto
□ Seam Roller
□ By Annie’s Basting Tape or 1⁄4” Steam-A Seam Double Sided Fusible Tape
□ Washable Glue
□ Large Safety Pin
□ Fray block or Fray Check (optional - seals ends of webbing)
□ SewTite Magnetic Pins (optional but helpful)
□ Iron and Large Cutting Mat (provided by store)
□ Creative Grids Circle Rulers (proved by the instructor to share)
Review the pattern for any additional supplies and tools.
This is a three-day workshop with a short break for lunch each day. Feel free to bring something
to eat and drink while you work on your project.
Pre-Class Preparation
Please complete the following before Day 1:
□ Review page 3 for a full project overview.
□ Read pages 1–5 to familiarize yourself with the pattern. Check for corrections at ByAnnie
Corrections.
□ Read all instructor notes before beginning.
□ Print page 18 (labels) and cut them apart. You will use these labels during class to identify your
pieces.
□ Review pages 4–5 (cutting and layouts) and page 17 (fabric, mesh, and vinyl layouts).
Day 1 – Cutting & Quilting Prep
We will complete all cutting of fabrics, mesh, vinyl, and other components together in class,
ensuring everything is accurate and labeled. We will also begin the quilting process for Sets A–
D, including layering and basting.
We will discuss the different page styles and options for webbing vs. fabric-covered straps and
handles, including how much webbing to purchase if needed.
Webbing Option (if using instead of fabric-covered straps):
• Approx. 5 yards of webbing required
• Cut and label in class:
▫ Carrying Strap: 50” (cut 1)
▫ Carrying Strap Tabs: 16.5” (cut 2)
▫ Handles: 30” (cut 2)
▫ Page Strap: 32” (cut 1)

At the end of Day 1, you will receive a prep list for Day 2.
Day 2 – Page Construction
We will construct one of the two pages:
• Back of Page 1:
o Style 1A: vinyl pocket on the left side
o Style 1B: mesh pocket on the right side
• Front of Page 1:
o Style 2: two vinyl pockets on the left side
o Style 3: three mesh pockets on the right side
We will also prepare Bag Pockets A–D during this session.
At the end of Day 2, you will receive a short prep list for Day 3.
Day 3 – Assembly & Finishing
We will complete construction, assemble the project, and finish all remaining details.
