The Yellow Brick Road quilt pattern is a popular, beginner-friendly design known
for its simplicity and scrappy look using a strip piecing technique. This pattern is
designed to be easily made with fat quarters.
Day 1 – you will cut out fabric and begin the process of creating quilt blocks.
Day 2 – you will finish creating quilt blocks.
Day 3 –you will assemble your quilt blocks.
During this workshop you will learn many sewing tips, quilting tips and make new
friends. The Supply List will be given to you after you sign up. We sell all the items
needed for this class [excluding a 1⁄4” foot for your personal sewing machine]. If
you do not have a sewing machine, we have some available for your use.
Strip Piecing:
The pattern relies on strip piecing, where fabric strips are sewn together and
then sub cut into individual pieces for the quilt.

Yellow Brick Road Pattern (can be purchased at Whim So Doodle)
Quilt ruler, fabric (fat quarters work well), spare sewing needle, 50 weight cotton thread, small sewing scissors, pen/pencil, olfa cutter, seam ripper, cutting mat, 1/4" sewing foot, straight pins, iron, sewing machine. All supplies are available at Whim So Doodle with the exception of the 1/4" sewing foot. Sewing machines available for use.
